  The Travelcelo

The Travelcelo is a full size practice cello with a small acoustic chamber which produces sufficient sound to be heard by the player, but not by anyone in the next room. With the addition of a transducer it can be converted into a feedback free fully electric instrument. The instrument has been designed with this in mind and several options are available, depending upon the quality of amplified sound required.

There are several advantages with the Travelcelo over other “silent” cellos.

It is made of solid woods, with ebony fingerboard and a fully adjustable endpin.

It folds down into a one metre package.

It remains in tune even when folded down.

It locks together securely in seconds.

It can be played either seated or standing.
